This real-time image encryption system mainly contains a novel improved RSA encryption and decryption algorithm and master-slave discrete chaotic systems with a chaos synchronization controller. The image signal is firstly encrypted based on improved RSA algorithm with the prime pair and keys generated by chaos systems. We propose a novel improved RSA encryption algorithm combined with synchronized chaotic systems to remove these drawbacks. Therefore, not only RSA's security features can be retained, but also can significantly reduce computing time delays and it becomes possible to realize a real-time image encryption system with high security.
