The present invention relates to a composite stiffener, in particular 3D enclosed frame composite stiffener, intended for reinforcing a part of motor vehicle body, such as tail door of passenger cars for restriction up to elimination of effects of stresses acting thereon during operation, wherein the stiffener consists of a composite layer (1), consisting of at least one layer (2) wound on a moulding core (4) of wound fibre strands (3), optionally so called rovings of glass, carbon or other similar continuous fibres saturated with a polymeric mat.
