The fifth annual International Craft Games 2016
The secondary school of Třinec Iron and Steel Works (SOŠ Třineckých železáren) is preparing the fifth annual International Craft Games 2016.
Under the patronage of managing director of Třinec Iron and Steel Works Ing. Jan Czudek the secondary school of Třinec Iron and Steel Works (SOŠ Třineckých železáren) is preparing the fifth annual International Craft Games of 2016. This two-day international event will include competitions in four main technical disciplines such as Electrotechnician, Steelworker, Mechanic, Plumber and few other. This year attendance was promised not only by primary and secondary schools of the region but also by secondary schools from Slovakia, Poland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Ukraine and Belarus. The event will also include presentation of technical fields of study and promotion of crafts in Moravian-Silesian Region.
To the students, the Craft Games of 2016 should offer the opportunity of extending their theoretical and practical knowledge and skills, they will be able to compare their current skills with the competitors, have fun and gain positive attitude towards crafts.
The event is prepared for students of primary and secondary schools. The interested students can take part in competition and compare their knowledge and skills with the foreign colleagues in the fields of Electrotechnician, Steelworker, Mechanic and Plumber. A supporting program is also prepared. This program will contain a tour of selected industrial plants of Třinec Ironworks, workshop of members of individual schools etc.
The main aim of the event is to reach out to the students of primary and secondary schools and offer them information about technical fields of study in an entertaining way. Furthermore, we want to involve local businessmen and in cooperation with the secondary schools build a base for preparation of qualified craftsmen in Moravian-Silesian Region.
